Idasa

Idasa (イダーサ, Idāsa; FUNimation "Idasa", Viz "Laem") is a martial artist.

Idasa's Japanese name is a pun on the word Dasai, or Unsophisticated in English.

Biography

Anime

Idasa was fifteen years old. He was Trunks Brief's first opponent in the Junior Division at the Tenkaichi Tournament. He was very arrogant and first taunted Trunks with a missing punch. Trunks eventually defeated Idasa with a sweep and a kick. When he lost to Trunks, his mother was as angry at him as she was at Trunks and punished him for losing. When Babidi was searching for Piccolo Junior, Son Goten, Trunks during the Majin Buu Saga, Idasa told his mother where Trunks lived and she immediately told Babidi. He was never seen again and was presumably killed either by Super Boo's Genocide Blast or when Kid Boo blew up Planet Earth.

Idasa appeared in Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury.

Trivia

• While most likely a coincidence, he resembles the Johnny Lawrence character from the Karate Kid film series - which appropriately enough feature martial arts tournaments.
