The Meteor Smash (メテオ スマッシュ, Meteo Sumasshu) is a rush attack used by Son Goku in his Super Saiyan form.

Usage[edit]

First, Super Saiyan Goku shouts, "It's over!" and punches his opponent in the stomach. Next, he punches his opponent away and flies after them to right hook kick them in their face. Finally, Super Saiyan Goku axe kicks the side of his opponent's head, knocking them away and inflicting a great deal of damage.

Dragon Ball Z[edit]

Frieza Saga[edit]

Super Saiyan Goku used this attack in his battle against Freeza in his Full Power form on the nearly-destroyed Planet Namek. After being elbowed into a cliff by Super Saiyan Goku, Full Power Freeza attacked and knocked Super Saiyan Goku down to the ground before saying he was just a beast. However, Super Saiyan Goku stood up and replied he would rather be a brainless beast than a heartless monster like Freeza. An angry Full Power Freeza tried to attack Super Saiyan Goku again, but Super Saiyan Goku dodged the attack and countered with the Meteor Smash rush, smashing Full Power Freeza across the ground.

Video games[edit]

Butōden series[edit]

Meteor Smash is named in the Butōden video game series and is Goku's secret attack in both his base and Super Saiyan forms.

Budokai Tenkaichi series[edit]

It later appeared in the Budokai Tenkaichi video game series and is one of Goku's Blast 2 attacks in his Super Saiyan form. Each game in the series changes the way the attack is performed. It is also a Meteor Attack.

Raging Blast series[edit]

It later appeared in the Raging Blast video game series, but the rush attack was much shorter because some of the hits were removed. The technique was also changed to a button combination in order for it to be performed.
