History
Dragon Ball
Pteranodons were huge flying reptiles who lived around Mount Paozu, but were also seen in many other locations on Earth. A Pteranodon captured Bulma Brief in "Bulma and Son Goku", but was killed by Son Goku with a hit over the head with the Nyoibou. A Pteranodon was seen before Goku's encounter with the Bear Thief in "The Turtle Hermit's Kinto Un". It is possible that it was the same one that had captured Bulma, although that one had had his head crest broken off and fallen from a long distance in the sky to a ravine down below. A Pteranodon attacked Namu in "The Roaming Lake", but was knocked out cold by Goku with a hit over the head with the Nyoibou.
Dragon Ball Z
A Pteranodon briefly appeared during the Namek Saga. It chased Bulma until Kuririn and Son Gohan shot it down.
A baby Pteranodon named Chobi was stolen from his father, Toh Toh, and mother during the Great Saiyaman Saga. He was eventually rescued and returned by Gohan and Videl.
Films
A Pteranodon was briefly seen when it flew by Neiz, who thought it had set off his Scouter rather than Kuririn's Ki Blast, in Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge.
