The Sonic Sway (ソニック 揺れる, Sonikku Yureru) is a defensive technique used by many fighters.

It is triggered by pressing both the guard and Ki buttons at the same time while being attacked by the opponent up close. If the move is successfully triggered, the player's character will automatically evade all of the opponent's punches by displaying a small cut scene followed up with a counter attack, knocking the opponent away. After knocking the opponent away, some characters can follow up by teleporting and smashing the opponent into the ground, however, it is possible to dodge the Sonic Sway.

Sonic Sway is named in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
