The Time Freeze (時間 停止, Jikan Teishi; Literally meaning "Time Stop") is a restraining technique used by Ghurd.

Usage

First, Ghurd puts his hands out and inhales a lot of air. Next, he yells, "Time Freeze!" and quickly closes his mouth to hold his breath. Finally, time will temporarily stop for as long as Ghurd can hold his breath.

While time is stopped, Ghurd can either run and hide or attack, however, Ghurd cannot hold his breath for very long, which means that he can only use the technique for a very short time. It uses up a lot of his energy, therefore repeatedly using it can wear him down very quickly.

History

Dragon Ball Z

Ghurd used this technique three times in his fight against Kuririn and Son Gohan. It completely drained him of energy to the point that he could not even fire a simple Ki Blast. It is unknown if he can continue to use the move after he has been drained, but it is known that he cannot use any other moves until he recovers.

Video games

Time Freeze appeared in the Raging Blast video game series.
