Papoi appeared in "Take Flight Videl". According to South Kaio, Papoi gave his life saving his homeworld from "something real nasty", which North Kaio sarcastically mused to be nothing more than boredom. North Kaio and South Kaio started to debate about whose student was stronger. South Kaio claimed that Papoi could mop the floor with Son Goku. (Meanwhile, Goku trained in the background with two-ton weights on each of his arms and legs). Both Kaio's got competitive, so North Kaio told South Kaio to increase each weight on Goku to ten tons per weight. At first Goku could barely move, but he simply turned Super Saiyan and started moving around very quickly. South Kaio's jaw hit the ground and he quickly said that Papoi should not waste his time fighting Goku by making up an excuse that he had a dinner date.
