Dende healing Piccolo.

Healing refers to a variety of special techniques. Presumably mystical in nature, it allows the user to heal another being's wounds and restore them to somewhat full strength. In general, it appears to have the same effectiveness and limitations as the more commonly seen Senzu. The only limitations to this is that it takes time for the user to heal as they need to be at close range, while the Senzu are able to be eaten at any time if available.

Known users

Dende

Dende was the first user of the Healing technique. The elder Namekian known as Grand Elder Guru used a technique to unlock the hidden powers of Son Gohan, Kuririn, and Dende during the Namek Saga. Gohan and Kuririn gained a large boost to their battle power, while Dende gained the Healing technique.

Dende used this ability several times during the Frieza Saga. Most notably, he used it to heal Vegeta after Kuririn nearly killed the Saiyan prince. This was part of a desperate plan to give Vegeta enough power to destroy Freeza (as a Saiyan's power increased after recovering from a near-death experience). Unfortunately, Dende was targeted and killed by Freeza due to this ability.

After being revived by the Dragon Balls, and later being named Kami of Planet Earth during the Cell Games Saga, Dende used this ability sporadically throughout the rest of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. Dende had moral issues when using the Healing technique on people who had evil hearts, and therefore he only healed the evil people if their intentions were good. It seemed that Dende's healing extended to more than just the victim's wounds. When he used it to heal Gohan while fighting against Super Boo, it completely restored Gohan's tattered clothing.

It is named Kaifuku Pawā (回復 パワー, Kaifuku Pawā; Literally meaning "Restoration Power") in Dragon Ball: Daizenshū 7.

Kibito

East Kaio's aide and bodyguard, Kibito, demonstrated the Healing technique at the 25th Tenkaichi Tournament when he healed Gohan after the latter had his energy drained by Spopovich and Yamu, minions of Babidi. He used it again to heal Gohan and East Kaioshin before all three were teleported to the Sacred World of the Kais.

Kibito Kai, the fused form of Kibito and East Kaioshin, also demonstrated this technique during the Kid Buu Saga.

It is named Kaifuku Pawā (回復 パワー, Kaifuku Pawā; Literally meaning "Restoration Power") in Dragon Ball: Daizenshū 7.

Majin Boo

Majin Boo had the ability to heal organic beings, though it appeared to be a variation of his Chocolate Beam rather than an entirely different ability. He used this ability several times during the Majin Buu Saga to heal Babidi (who had earlier been bisected by Piccolo), cure an unnamed boy of his blindness, heal a dog named Bee, and bring Mister Satan back from the brink of death.

It is named Kaifukujutsu (回復術, Kaifukujutsu; Literally meaning "Restoration Arts") in Dragon Ball: Daizenshū 7.
