Spirit Sword

The Spirit Sword (スピリッツ ソード, Supirittsu Sōdo) is an energy beam attack used by Vegetto in his Super Saiyan form.
Usage
Super Saiyan Vegetto charges condensed energy into his right hand and forms it into a sword-like blast that can be controlled to become longer or shorter. Because this sword is created by a single usage of energy, and can continue to be used without dying out, it is one of Super Saiyan Vegetto's most devastating attacks.
History
Dragon Ball Z
Super Saiyan Vegetto used this attack twice in his battle against Super Boo (Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, and Gohan absorbed). Super Saiyan Vegetto caught Super Boo (Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks absorbed) in the stomach upside down, but Super Boo (Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks absorbed) managed to regenerate himself out of the Spirit Sword. Super Saiyan Vegetto used the attack again to impale Super Boo (Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks absorbed)'s mouth, but the Majin regenerated once again.
Video games
Spirit Sword is named in the Budokai video game series and is Vegetto's ultimate attack in his Super Saiyan form.
It is named Beam Sword Slash in the Budokai Tenkaichi video game series. In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, it is Super Vegetto's Ultimate Blast. In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, it is one of his Blast 2 attacks.
It also appeared in Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury using Vegetto and was chargeable. He swung it around him after releasing it.
Data books
It is named Ki no Tsurugi (気 の 剣, Ki no Tsurugi) in Dragon Ball: Daizenshū 7.
Trivia
- The name of the technique may be based on or a reference to the Spirit Sword technique used by Kazuma Kuwabara in the Yu Yu Hakusho series. Both attacks involve turning the user's spirit energy/Ki into a weapon.
- Vegetto can use this move in his base form in Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai. When he does, he fires it more like an energy blast than a sword slash.
