Shining Sword Attack (シャイニングソードアタック) is a rush attack used by Future Trunks in his Super Saiyan form. First, Future Trunks charges at the opponent and kicks them up into the air. Then, he flies up and comes down to vertically slash the opponent followed by multiple slashes with his sword. Finally, Future Trunks draws his hand back and brings it forward to blast the opponent away with a yellow energy wave, inflicting a high amount of damage.
Future Trunks used this attack to kill Mecha-Frieza. Believing that Future Trunks was killed by his Supernova, Mecha-Frieza and his father King Cold became distracted long enough when Future Trunks (who actually teleported away from the blast) fired a Burning Attack at them. Although Mecha-Frieza managed to avoid it, this made him an easy target for Future Trunks to attack him with the Shining Sword Attack, putting an end to the robotic evil tyrant.
Shining Sword was named in the Budokai Tenkaichi series and is Future Trunks (Sword)'s Ultimate Blast in his Super Saiyan form. It also appeared in the Budokai series, but its name was "Burning Slash." In Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors, it appears as Future Trunks' throw move. It also appears as one of Super Saiyan Trunks' team attack with Super Saiyan Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2.
