Dragon Ball Z
Future Trunks used this attack to kill Mecha Freeza. Believing that Future Trunks was killed by his Supernova, Mecha Freeza and his father, King Cold, became distracted long enough for Future Trunks (who had actually teleported away from the blast) to fire a Burning Attack at them. Although Mecha Freeza managed to avoid it, this made him an easy target for Future Trunks to attack him with the Shining Sword Attack, putting an end to the robotic evil tyrant.
