Dragon Ball Z Battle Taikan Kamehame Ha - Omee to Fusion
From Dragon Ball Wiki, the ''Dragon Ball'' encyclopedia
Dragon Ball Z Battle Taikan Kamehame Ha - Omee to Fusion (ドラゴンボールZ スカウターバトル体感かめはめ波, roughly "Dragon Ball Z Battle Bodily Sensation Kamehameha - Fusion With You") is an all-in-one TV game by Bandai and Let's! TV Play where you "fuse" with one of several fighters and fight classic battles from the Dragon Ball Z anime series. The game connects directly to your television (via standard audio-video cables) and comes with the "Dragon Band" -- a pair of wireless devices that slip around the ends of your fingers on either hand which lets you control the action. You can also input data via the card reading mechanism.
The controls for the game are relatively simple. Using the Dragon Band, you can throw punches, energy attacks, block or brush away incoming attacks, and even do classic moves like the Kamehameha by making the appropriate hand motions.
[edit] Legacy
Two more games were made after the first, each subsequent release adding more characters and mini-games. Fusion With You 3 added a replica Scouter which worked exactly as they do in the anime and manga, showing you vital statistics about your opponents and/or helping you locate them. There was also a crossover game with One Piece called Dragon Ball x One Piece (バトル体感ゴムゴムのかめはめ波) which contained a number of characters and villains from both series.
[edit] Trivia
- A similar control scheme to this series of games was used in the Budokai Tenkaichi games on the Nintendo Wii.
