List of failed fusions

(Redirected from Failed Fusions)

The following is a list of failed fusions. Failed fusions only occur by performing the Fusion Dance incorrectly.

Goku and Vegeta

Fat Gogeta (Veku)

Veku

Veku (ベクウ, Bekuu) appeared when Son Goku and Vegeta attempted to fuse for the first time in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. North Kaio blamed Vegeta for the mistake by claiming that Vegeta had failed to extend his index finger, resulting in an embarrassingly weak Fusion. This formed a fat, incredibly weak fighter who was named "Veku" by South Kaio. In this form, speed was decreased and ki was extremely limited. Veku was unable to perform any special Ki attacks due to the severe Ki limitation. Also, because of his fat body, he could not retaliate by punching and kicking. Instead, all he could do was pass gas, which he used against Janemba to try and escape him. Like most fusions, there was a 30-minute time limit before the two fighters defused. According to the Dragon Ball: Daizenshū, Veku had a battle power of 704.

Veku is voiced by both Sean Schemmel (Son Goku) and Christopher R. Sabat (Vegeta) using the voices of North Kaio and Yajirobe, respectively.

Goten and Trunks

Fat Gotenks

Fat Gotenks

Son Goten and Trunks Brief achieved this form when the Fusion Dance went wrong, probably because Trunks stretched his finger at an inappropriate time. The result was Fat Gotenks. He tried to run, but tired very quickly. For a moment, Yamucha though that the Fusion had succeeded and that Gotenks had to be fat to regulate his power, similarly to Majin Boo. Yamucha soon changed his mind, however, when he saw that Fat Gotenks became winded after a brief and slow run. Fat Gotenks also appeared in Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!. Fat Gotenks said that he had not practiced the Fusion Dance for a long time and then defused. In the video games, he could not do any special attacks and is already tired after a few kicks and punches. In the case of Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury, neither he nor Old Gotenks could even move and defused automatically after a few seconds so that a successful Fusion could be tried.

Skinny Gotenks

Skinny Gotenks

Goten and Trunks achieved this form when the Fusion Dance went wrong for a second time. The failure was due to a lack of coordination, as when Goten and Trunks said, "HAAH" their fingers did not meet. Skinny Gotenks could barely stand on his feet without getting tired, and he coughed a lot as well. Comically, after seeing this form of Gotenks, Son Chichi exclaimed, "I can't love that!" to which Turtle Hermit asked, "Why not? He's my age!" Kuririn responded, "No... older!"

Tenshinhan and Yamucha

Fat Tiencha

Skinny Tiencha

Skinny Tiencha

Skinny Tiencha appeared in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 when Tenshinhan and Yamucha stretched their hands when they said, "HAAH" in the last stage of the Fusion Dance, a costly mistake. In this form, Tiencha could fly, but could not do any special attacks. He could only use punches, kicks, and simple Ki attacks, and even those cost him a large portion of his energy. After a combo attack, he coughed, and if he tried a special attack like the Dodohameha, he again coughed, causing the attack to fail.
