The Future Cell Saga is the name of a What If Saga.
History
The Future Cell Saga is based on "Free the Future".
Dragon Ball Z
Future Trunks Brief returned to his own timeline and killed Future Artificial Human No. 18 and her brother. Later, he stopped Future Cell from going into the past by killing him with the Heat Dome Attack (Finish Buster in Budokai Tenkaichi).
Video games
The Future Cell Saga appeared in the Budokai Tenkaichi video game series. It is named Ultimate Super Warrior in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, Future Super Warrior in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, and Future Peace in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 – where it is also the last stage of the Androids Saga.
In Budokai Tenkaichi, Future Trunks entered a tournament after killing Future Cell and fought against the Fusion of his father and Son Goku, Gogeta, who at his Super Saiyan 4 form was the universe's most powerful warrior. Future Trunks defeated him because Gogeta did not use his full power knowing it would destroy Planet Earth.
