The Invisible Eye Blast is an energy wave attack used by Son Goku, East Kaioshin, and Fat Boo. The two versions of this technique are identical in nature, but were developed independently from each other.
History[edit]
It is just like it sounds: an invisible blast of Ki shot out of the eyes. No instance of this attack has ever done any damage, but it appears that, unlike Goku, East Kaioshin had a relatively powerful version, as he actually expected the blast to hold Fat Boo at bay.
Known uses[edit]
Dragon Ball Z[edit]
The Invisible Eye Blast has only been used four times in the series, and only three of them are canon to the manga.
The first time it was used was during the Frieza Saga when Vegeta had just died from Freeza's Death Beam. Goku used the Invisible Eye Blast to dig a hole to bury Vegeta's corpse in.
The second time it was used was in "The Terror of Mr. Buu" when East Kaioshin used the blast against Fat Boo, expecting it to hold him. It proved useless, however, as Majin Buu was only temporarily disoriented.
The third time it was used was in "The Terror of Mr. Buu" when Gohan was hit by Fat Boo's blast and was headed for outer space. East Kaioshin used his Invisible Eye Blast to destroy the energy ball, saving Gohan's life by a thread.
The fourth and final time it was used was during the Shadow Dragon Saga when Goku and Vegeta had fused into Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta to battle Omega Shen Long. He used the Invisible Eye Blast not to do damage to Omega, but to flaunt his superior power.
Data books[edit]
It is named Kiai Gan (気合 眼, Kiai Gan) in Dragon Ball: Daizenshū 7.
