The Soaring Dragon Strike (龍 翔拳, Ryū Shō-ken; Literally meaning "Dragon Soar Fist") is a rush attack used by Son Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 form.

Usage

Super Saiyan 2 Gohan shouts, "Hi-ya!" as he discharges a whitish-blue aura from around his body. He then attacks his opponent with a hook punch and uppercut to their stomach and chin, with whitish-blue streaks of energy flying off the punches, inflicting a high amount of damage.

History

Gohan used this attack in his fight against Perfect Cell. Seeing as he could not defeat Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, Perfect Cell unleashed his full power in hopes of gaining a larger advantage against the young Saiyan. As he punched Super Saiyan 2 Gohan hard in the face, however, Super Saiyan 2 Gohan was barely phased. Before Perfect Cell could land another blow, Super Saiyan 2 Gohan counterattacked with the Soaring Dragon Strike and severely injured Perfect Cell, much to the shock of the Z Warriors.

Video games

Soaring Dragon Strike is named in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 and is one of Teen Gohan's attacks in his Super Saiyan 2 form. Adult Gohan can also use it in all of his forms, though only in the video games.

It later appeared in Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, and Dragon Ball Heroes.
