The Rogafufu-ken (狼牙風風拳, Rōgafūfū-ken; FUNimation "Wolf Fang Fist"; Literally meaning "Wolf Fang Gale Fist") is a rush attack of rapid, charged melee strikes empowered by a Wolf totem and Yamucha's signature attack.

History

Dragon Ball

The Rogafufu-ken was a unique attack in that no energy was directly expelled from the user, rather Ki energy empowered the strikes with incredible force, usually through the focus of a totem animal. The technique was shown as a flurry of punches and kicks that seemed much more effective and powerful than Yamucha's standard physical strikes, often times seen trailed by a red aura or the crimson Wolf itself. As Yamucha was the only person to commonly perform an attack of this nature, it is assumed he also invented it.

Films

Gotenks using the Rogafufu-ken.

Gotenks somehow managed to learn this technique and used it against Aka in an interesting combo with the Volleyball Attack in Dragon Ball: Ossu! Kaette Kita Son Gokū to Nakama-tachi!!.

  • Yamucha stops using this technique at the start of Dragon Ball Z. The attack never appears in Dragon Ball Z until Yo! Son Goku and his Friends Return!! when it is used by Gotenks.
