Roshi appeared in Dragonball: Evolution. He was the former student of Sifu Norris, the martial artist responsible for sealing Lord Piccolo away for centuries. He accepted Goku as his pupil, but not before going on a quest to find the seven Promethium Orbs before Lord Piccolo could find them. Goku accidentally killed him while transformed as Oozaru.
