History
Dr. Lychee was the only survivor of the Tsufruians, a race who once lived on Planet Plant before the coming of the Saiyans. The Saiyans not only massacred the entire Tsufruian race, but also stole their technology and conquered the planet. They then renamed it Planet Vegeta in honor of their king. Lychee managed to escape with a capsule and found refuge on Planet Dark, a world at the end of the universe. His only wish was to eradicate the last remaining Saiyans.
To do this, Lychee put Destron Gas Generators in different locations on Planet Earth to emit Destron Gas and destroy all life. When Mister Popo found out that only a few hours were left until the planet's destruction, Son Goku, Son Gohan, Vegeta, Future Trunks Briefs, and Piccolo rushed to destroy the evil devices located around the planet. They managed to destroy all but one that was protected by an impenetrable energy barrier. Freeza, Cooler, Tullece, and Slugg, however, appeared and engaged the heroes in individual fight. It was revealed by North Kaio that the villains were actually Ghost Warriors who would continually come back to life after being killed unless defeated in the same way that the real villains' lives had died.
The heroes tracked down Lychee to Planet Dark and engaged him. They soon discovered that the Ghost Warriors were generated by Dr. Lychee's Super Computer that was powered by the hate the Tsufruians had had for the Saiyans. It was also revealed that Lychee was a Ghost Warrior himself. When Vegeta vaporized Lychee and prevented him from re-materializing, the hate that Lychee had made the super computer exceed its limit. The super computer then transformed into Hachihyaku, a powerful Artificial Human whose power was said to match or perhaps even exceed Broly's power according to Goku. Hachihyaku devastated the heroes until the Saiyans transformed into their Super Saiyan forms and combined their powers together into one massive wave of energy, thus ending the threat of the Ghost Warriors.
