The Standing Kamehameha (常置 かめはめ波, Jōchi Kamehameha; Literally meaning "Permanent Turtle Destruction Wave") is an energy wave attack used by Son Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 form.

Usage[edit]

First, Super Saiyan 2 Gohan simply stands powering up for the Kamehameha while saying, "Ka... me... ha... me...". Next, he draws his cupped hands back down to his right side and charges the Kamehameha. Finally, Super Saiyan 2 Gohan brings his hands forward and fires the attack with the final syllable, "...ha!" at his opponent, inflicting a powerful amount of damage.

History[edit]

Dragon Ball Z[edit]

Cell Games Saga[edit]

Gohan used this attack during his battle against Perfect Cell. Realizing he could not defeat Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 transformation, Perfect Cell flew straight up into the air and fired a massive Kamehameha down at Gohan, believing if the young Saiyan dodges it, it will destroy the entire Earth. Fortunately, at the last minute, Gohan quickly counterattacked with the Standing Kamehameha, overpowering Perfect Cell's Kamehameha and destroying the Android's legs, left arm, and the two straight sections on top of his head. However, Perfect Cell was able to regenerate due to possessing Piccolo's regenerative ability in his cells and continue the fight.

Video games[edit]
