Summary[edit]

Piccolo dies from Nappa's energy blast, resulting in Kami's death and the destruction of Earth's Dragon Balls. However, Goku finally arrives at the battlefield just in time to save Gohan and Krillin. After healing the two with a Senzu Bean from Korin, Goku engages Nappa in battle. Despite the burly Nappa's power, it quickly becomes clear that Goku is the superior fighter. Realizing this, Vegeta finally decides to step into the fight.

Trivia[edit]

  • This episode contains the segment which originated the popular It's over 9000! Internet meme, which is a translation mistake since in the original version the dialogue is "Over 8000" not "Over 9000". In the edited TV version, the dialogue stays as "Over 9000". In the DVD version, it is changed to the proper translation.
