Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II (video game)
From Dragon Ball Encyclopedia
Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II is an action-adventure game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. It was developed by Webfoot Technologies and published by Atari.

Story
It starts in Future Trunks Brief's alternate timeline and draws elements from Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks. Afterwards, it begins in the main timeline and allows the player to assume the role of young Son Gohan. Further into the storyline, more playable characters (first Piccolo, then Vegeta, then Future Trunks, and finally Son Goku) and abilities appear until the final battle against Future Cell. The game uses environments, enemies, attacks, and music directly from the anime itself (though the music is from the English dub). The music, however, is much more noticeable in this game than Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku and Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury). The game mostly follows the events of the Androids Saga and Cell Saga.
Gameplay
The gameplay shows some similarities to the first title in the video game series, The Legacy of Goku. Players still move around in a large 2D environment and interact with objects and characters with the single push of a button. Players can select from a variety of attacks to use on enemies, which can either be melee or energy. RPG-style stats also exist, however, and can be modified if players level up or use different Capsules found throughout the game. Unlike the previous game, HP numbers appear above the character when they are hit (red numbers are a loss of HP and green numbers are a gain of it).
After players have completed several events in the storylines, some characters have the ability to transform. By transforming, stats quickly go up temporarily. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Future Trunks undergo a Super Saiyan transformation when prompted and Piccolo undergoes a Super Namek transformation shown by him taking off his weighted clothing (a large speed boost rather than a power up, though he also slowly regains health while "transformed".) Unlike the previous game, players now have the ability to perform various "side quests" and therefore can complete various tasks and fight some beings from the non-manga world of Dragon Ball Z, such as Freeza's brother, Coola.

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II: International
Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II: International is another version of The Legacy of Goku II. Due to its sales, The Legacy of Goku II was released by Banpresto in Japan under a different title on July 23, 2004. With the exception of the in-game text, the game featured some changes. All of the characters were given new profile images and their names were reverted back to their original Japanese names except in one case. Mister Satan still retains his English name of Hercule on the front of his parade float.
Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku I & II
Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku I & II is a compilation of The Legacy of Goku and The Legacy of Goku II.
