Future Trunks used this attack in his Super Saiyan form in his battle against Future Android 17 and Future Android 18 in Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks. After being blasted away by Future No. 17 and Future No. 18, Future Trunks emerged from the explosion and attacked and knocked the two Androids away. Future Trunks then flew up into the air and fired the Buster Cannon down at Future No. 17 and Future No. 18, creating a huge explosion. Future Trunks believed he had won, but as the smoke cleared, Future No. 17 and Future No. 18 were apparently unaffected by the attack, much to the Saiyan's shock.
