Dragon Ball Z: Gokū Gekitōden, released in Japan as Dragon Ball Z 悟空 激闘伝 (ドラゴン ボール ゼット 悟空 激闘伝, Doragon Bōru Zetto: Gokū Gekitōden; Literally meaning "Dragon Ball Z: Goku Fierce Fight Biography"), is a role-playing game for the Nintendo Game Boy. It was released only in Japan on August 25, 1995 and developed and published by Bandai.
Story
It takes place soon after Son Goku's battle against Vegeta and ends with Goku's final battle against Freeza.
Gameplay
Gokū Gekitōden features five playable characters, as well as Son Goku's Super Saiyan transformation. Movement and fighting is done in real time unlike its predecessor. The game also features many extras, such as minigames and a Tournament mode. Most characters from the Namek Saga can be fought against in the Story mode, including Zarbon's and Freeza's transformed states.
