Family Bonds is the twenty-third episode of the Baby Saga and the thirty-eighth overall episode of Dragon Ball GT. The original Japanese title is "Minna no pawa de... Supa saiya-jin 4 fukkatsu" (みんなの力で...超サイヤ人4復活). The episode first aired on February 19, 1997. It's original American air date was June 19, 2004.

With Baby fully powered up again, Goku tries to trick him into making his own mistakes, but Pan realizes that Goku is maxes out, so she flies and uses energy attacks against Great Ape Baby.
Of course, the energy attacks have no effect on Great Ape Baby, so he decides to target Pan. Goku decides to use his little bit of remaining energy on a Kamehameha Wave, but Trunks arrives and manages to distract Great Ape Baby.
Great Ape Baby decides to change targets and starts beating up Trunks, but Gohan and Goten both arrive and save Trunks. Goten and Trunks decide to try and do a fusion, but Goku reveals it won't be enough. He tells them they need to give him their energy so he can defeat Great Ape Baby.
Great Ape Baby realizes this fact also, so he attacks them and won't let power Goku up, forcing Goku to use his little bit of remaining energy on a Solar Flare to temporarily blind Great Ape Baby. This gives a chance for Gohan, Goten, and Trunks to begin powering up Goku, but Great Ape Baby proves again to be resilient and rebounds quickly.
Realizing that Goku still needs time to power up, Majuub turns back into his human form inside of Great Ape Baby and begins attacking him from the inside just like Great Ape Baby's eggs did to everyone else. He holds Great Ape Baby off while the Saiyans and Pan power Goku up. Once Majuub runs out of power he is spit out of Great Ape Baby, and Great Ape Baby uses a Super Galick Gun on the Saiyans.
Everyone appears to be hit by the Galick Gun and presumed out of the fight, so Hercule confronts Great Ape Baby because he is the only fighter left, but Goku speaks and says he will handle Great Ape Baby. He also tells Hercule that he is now a true hero. The others wake up and are shocked at the power of the powered-up Super Saiyan 4. Great Ape Baby realizes he must defeat Goku to win the day. The two warriors begin powering up and fighting. Who will end up being the victor, Goku, or Great Ape Baby? Find out on the next GT.

Baby knocks her down and is about to stomp on her, when Trunks shows up and blasts Baby away. Gohan and Goten arrive, and they prepare to fight. Goku stops them, saying that the only thing powerful enough to stop Baby is Super Saiyan 4. He instructs them to give him their energy so he can fight. Realizing this, Baby attacks them. Baby begins writhing in pain. Majuub, whom Baby had eaten, has regained his form and is attacking from the inside, revealing that he had purposely allowed Baby to deflect his attack and eat him. This gives them enough time to give Goku their energy. Baby spits Majuub out, and with Goku at full power, the final battle begins. ku at full power, the final battle begins. |
