Summary

Picking up from the last episode, Frieza is stomping on Gohan's head, trying to crush it. Vegeta is frozen in fear after a fruitless attack earlier. Goku can only observe his son's plight in the Rejuvenation Tank. Piccolo is rushing to the scene as fast as he can, and senses his pupil's danger, recalling everything the two of them have been through.
Krillin's Destructo Disk separates into multiple disks

Sensing the end may be near for Gohan, Goku decides he must leave the Rejuvenation Tank early to save his son. Right before he does, however, Krillin reappears suddenly, somehow healed. He cuts off the distracted Frieza's tail with a Destructo Disk. He continues with a rapid-fire set of Disks, then one that splits into many, coming at Frieza from all directions. This time, Frieza is able to dodge them all. Krillin runs and Frieza gives chase, allowing Dende to heal Gohan.

Krillin leads Frieza away and uses a maze of rocks to elude him. Eventually Frieza smokes him out, and the chase continues. Krillin tries to hide underwater, but can't hold his breath for very long. Frieza finally manages to corner Krillin, but he uses Solar Flare on him to escape and return to the battlefield.

Back at the battlefield, Dende returns to Gohan's side. Once there, he uses his previously-unseen healing powers to restore Gohan to full strength. It's the same power he used to save Krillin.

When Frieza returns, Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta attack him all at once. Their first volley doesn't faze Frieza. But as they go in for the head-on attack, Piccolo finally shows up and stops them. He tells them that he will fight Frieza alone.
