History
Dragon Ball
Emperor Pilaf Saga
Shortly before meeting Yamucha, Chichi encountered and killed a T-Rex by chopping off his head. The appearance of this T-Rex was much more accurate to the real world counterpart than those who appeared later in the series.
In Rabbit Gang's Town, Dinosaurs served as transportation.
Tournament Saga
A large Dinosaur, possibly a Triceratops, was seen walking past Yamucha, Puar, Bulma, and Oolong shortly after their spaceship crashed in a forest. In addition to this, a T-Rex frequently chased Son Goku and Kuririn during their training under Muten Roshi. The appearance of this T-Rex is noticeably somewhat different than the ones who later appeared in Dragon Ball Z.
Fortuneteller Baba Saga
Kuririn and Yamucha were chased by a T-Rex while training under Muten Roshi for the upcoming Tenkaichi Tournament in "Goku Goes to Demon Land".
Dragon Ball Z
Saiyan Saga
Son Gohan constantly found himself being chased by a hungry T-Rex. He also made friends with an injured Brontosaurus, but it was later eaten by the T-Rex. Pretty soon, Gohan was able to easily outrun the T-Rex and sliced off pieces of his tail to cook and eat. After awhile, it was Gohan who chased the T-Rex around. Gohan also observed a large herd of Triceratops while fending for himself in the wild.
Namek Saga
During a series of filler episodes involving Krillin, Gohan, and Bulma on Fake Planet Namek, a gigantic Dinosaur picked up a Dragon Ball and carried it into a lake full of acid where it was killed. It was later revealed that both the Dinosaur and the lake full of acid were an illusion like everything else on Fake Planet Namek, as they were imaginary quests constructed by the devious Raiti and Zaacro.
Captain Ginyu Saga
Bulma was chased by a T-Rex on Planet Namek, who was as fast as Bulma's bike, but it was killed by Krillin and Gohan.
Frieza Saga
Bulma appeared to be chased by a huge pack of T-Rexes and Triceratops, but it turned out that they were only running from Freeza's immense power as he transformed.
Cell Games Saga
During the panic that was gripping the people of Earth, two Dinosaurs (apparently in business suits, as well) could be seen panicking.
Great Saiyaman Saga
Maraikoh appeared to be a Dinosaur, though he also resembled a Dragon. He advanced into the quarterfinals and beat Frogue, but was defeated by Goku in the semifinals. He was later seen during the Kid Buu Saga.
Gohan and Son Goten owned a pet Pterodactyl named Chobi. Chobi had a mother and a father, Toh Toh. Chobi was kidnapped by a greedy circus man, Mr. Musuka, and Gohan, as the Great Saiyaman, attempted to save him. During a struggle between the Great Saiyaman and Videl, Chobi called his parents and they attacked the city. Gohan was forced to knock Toh Toh out to stop him from attacking Videl. The Pterodactyl family ended up being reunited in the end, and Mr. Musuka was arrested for stealing an officer's handgun.
Also, Goten found two Dinosaurs while Gohan was training. The first was a baby who reminded him of Icarus. The second was big and whipped Goten away with his tail. Gohan thought Goten could have been killed, but at that point was unaware that Goten was just as powerful as him and able to turn into a Super Saiyan.
Kid Buu Saga
Several Dinosaurs were seen giving Goku energy for his Spirit Bomb.
Goku decided to spend most of his day watching over some Pterodactyl eggs (as they were nearing hatching), and he also had to move some animals that might threaten the eggs' survival away (some of which included a dueling Triceratops and T-Rex whom, after being moved to the island, were too confused and bewildered to continue dueling). A storm nearly resulted in the eggs being killed, therefore Goku needed to earn their parents' trust to protect them until hatching (they would not let him get too close to the nest as they thought he would steal them).
Dragon Ball GT
Baby Saga
When the population of Earth was being moved to New Planet Plant in the wake of Earth's destruction at the hands of the Black Star Dragon Balls, two Dinosaurs, a T-Rex and a Triceratops, were taken to New Planet Plant via Instant Transmission due to them being too large to fit in the spaceship.
Films
Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might
While searching for the Dragon Balls, Gohan was chased by another hungry T-Rex during the opening sequence of the film. The scene heavily resembled the chase scene from the anime, which was featured in the first Dragon Ball Z opening (this scene replaces it in the film).
Dragon Ball Z: Broly: Second Coming
The monster that attacked Zalador and Coco's village was a Dinosaur who looked similar to the one from Fake Planet Namek. Goten, Trunks, and Videl set a trap for it, resulting in Goten and Trunks harassing the monster. They and the inhabitants of the village later cooked and ate it.
