DBZ Episode 239

From Dragon Ball Encyclopedia, the ''Dragon Ball'' wiki

"Yamcha, 18, Bulma, Videl, and Chi Chi, among others, go looking for the Dragon Balls. Their search for the seventh one leads them to a nest full of eggs, but before Bulma can grab it, a dinosaur eats the entire nest. Yamcha hits the beast with an energy ball, which causes it to fly into the ocean. Videl goes swimming after it, and with a little help from Master Roshi, they are able to extract the ball. Piccolo and Krillin arrive at the lookout with the unconscious Goten and Trunks. Soon after, Goku regains consciousness and appears at the lookout himself." cannot be used as a page name in this wiki.
Master Roshi uses his dirty tactics to launch a fart attack onto a huge pink dinosaur. The dinosaur puked the dragonball out following this and hit Roshi on the head.

Find the Dragon Balls is the eighth episode of the Majin Buu Saga and the two hundred thirty-ninth overall episode in the original dubbed and the uncut version of the Dragon Ball Z series. The original Japanese title is "Bideru-tachi no Funto! Sagase Doragon Boru" (ビーデルたちの奮闘!探せ神龍球). The episode first aired on September 7, 1994. Its original American air date was September 17, 2002.

Summary

The episode begins with the search for the Dragon Balls, with Yamcha piloting a Capsule Corp. airplane also containing Bulma with the Dragon Radar, Chi-Chi, Videl, Android 18, Maron and Master Roshi. After a brief discussion regarding the Dragon Balls, Yamcha accidentally crashes the jet onto the barren ground. Thankfully, the jet and everyone in it are okay (with the exception of Master Roshi, who used the crash as a chance to sexually harass the beautiful Android 18, nearly resulting in his death).

The group eventually find all the Dragon Balls after a few adventures (one involving a Dragon Ball being swallowed by a dinosaur, only to cough it up again by Master Roshi farting in its face) and summon the Eternal Dragon.

Meanwhile, Goku wakes up alone in the barren wastelands with an empty sack of Senzu Beans Majin Vegeta took before his fight with Majin Buu. Realising what Vegeta must have done, Goku uses the Instant Transmission to travel to Kami's Lookout, where Piccolo, Mr. Popo, Dende and Krillin are waiting. Dende helpfully heals Goku of his wounds.

Trivia

  • When Piccolo states that he never gives up hope after he witnessed Goku become a Super Saiyan is ironic, as Piccolo was comatose at the time. However this dialogue only appears in the FUNimation dub.
  • When Piccolo and Krillin are at Korin Tower, it seems that Yajirobe has grown some facial hair.
  • There is a color mistake at the very end of this episode. Goku's left shoulder is purple, instead of orange.
