Gohan's First Date is the eighth episode of the Great Saiyaman Saga and the two hundred second overall episode of the original Dragon Ball Z and the 187th episode of the dubbed series. The original Japanese title is "Gohan no Hachamecha Hatsu Deto!?" (悟飯のハチャメチャ初デート!?). The episode first aired on September 29, 1993. It's original American air date was November 27, 2001.

Summary

When Chi-Chi forced Goku on a date with her

Gohan is flying with his costume to high school. Then he lands, takes off his Great Saiyaman clothes, and then he sees a red haired girl named Angela on the roof and thinks she saw him transform back to Gohan. He goes back to class and the teacher tells Gohan to answer something but Gohan is day dreaming. He is saying to himself "I was so stupid to turn back to Gohan!" Then the teacher sent him out for day dreaming to hold 2 water buckets. When the teacher told Angela to answer the same question, she drew a love picture of Gohan. The teacher sent her out for not paying attention. Angela then told Gohan that she knows Gohan's secret. She said "If you don't go on a date with me, I will tell everyone your secret!" Gohan agreed.

Later, when Gohan went home, he asked Chi-Chi if he could go on a date and she approved and told him about when she forced Goku on a date with her. Chi-Chi starts dreaming of the past, when Goku fought with Chi-Chi during the tournament.

During the date, Gohan and Angela go see a movie. After a while, Gohan gets bored and loses interest. Angela soon became angry and begins to leave, so Gohan apologized to her and the date continued. They went to a coffee shop after watching the movie.

While walking, they noticed a building on fire. Videl immediately came to stop the fire. She saw a water tank on the roof and tried to open it, release the water, and stop the fire. The water tank handle did not budge. Gohan then transformed into The Great Saiyaman, and saved Videl from getting injured. He then punched a hole into the water tank, and extinguished the fire. While Videl was talking to the reporters, she saw Gohan sneaking away from the scene.

She stopped Gohan and whispered something to Gohan. Gohan's date sees Gohan with Videl and thinking that Gohan is trying to go on a a date with Videl, she tells the secret to Videl (that two days ago she saw Gohan in the locker room and saw his teddy bear underwear). Gohan asks about the incident on the roof, then Angela tells him she didn't have her contact lenses on at that time. She then dumped Gohan. The next day she is seen telling everyone Gohan’s secret.
