Biography

Sugoro appeared in "The Game After Life". After Kibito Kai's attempt to save Son Goku from Vegeta Baby, Goku was caught in a realm known as Sugoroku Space. Sugoru (who assumed the shape of a bluish, humanoid alien) and his son (who secretly assumed the shape of a board game die) both inhabited the region and challenged visitors to a life-sized board game with the promise that the visitor could leave Sugoroku Space if they won (the game also carried the consequence of death to any visitor who lost). According to Sugoru, his "lucky streak" had won him 32,547,000 games by the time Goku had arrived, however, this was undoubtedly due to his die-shaped son manipulating the outcome of the rolls.

Goku accepted the challenge and Sugoru easily advanced through the rigged game, while Goku struggled to make any progress. Shortly before Sugoru won the game, Goku discovered the duo's deception and accused the two of cheating. At that instant, a number of ambient voices (belonging to the caretakers who oversaw the realm) expressed outrage over Sugoro's "tampering with fate" and began to shake apart the entire area. Despite almost losing the game due to Sugoru's cheating, Goku opted to help the two escape. Sugoru explained that he and his son had been marooned in the region when their ship was destroyed, and that they had only continued rigging the game so that they could keep winning and stay in Sugoroku Space rather than die.

After a narrow escape, Goku, Sugoro, and Shusugoro managed to escape from Sugoroku Space. They were then transported to the Sacred World of the Kais by Kibito Kai. Sugoru expressed his gratitude, and later had his son transform into a pair of pliers to expedite Old Kaioshin's plan of regrowing Goku's tail.
