Biography
Dragon Ball Z
Garlic Jr. Saga
Haiya Dragon appeared during the Garlic Jr. Saga. He caught wind that the Black Water Mist had been released. He found a cave and blocked the entrance so that Gohan would not be exposed to the Black Water Mist. Haiya Dragon later saved Maron after she was almost killed by an infected Bulma Brief and Son Chichi.
Trunks Saga
Haiya Dragon appeared in the final episode of the Trunks Saga. He did not appear again after this.
Great Saiyaman Saga
Haiya Dragon was mentioned during the Great Saiyaman Saga. As Son Goten played with a Dinosaur, Gohan mentioned that the Dinosaur reminded him of Haiya Dragon.
Films
Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might
Haiya Dragon appeared in Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might. Gohan saved him by moving a tree that had fallen on him. When Shen Long was summoned to restore the forest back to normal, Haiya Dragon was scared and attacked him. He also was able to calm Gohan down even after being turned into his Great Ape form by Tullece. He was then blasted away by Tullece, infuriating Great Ape Gohan.
Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug
Haiya Dragon appeared in Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug.
Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge
Haiya Dragon appeared in Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge.

Trivia
- Haiya Dragon is the only non-supernatural Dragon to appear in the Dragon Ball franchise.
- Haiya Dragon never appears in the original manga and his appearances in the anime are in filler scenes.
- Though there are notable appearances of Haiya Dragon in Dragon Ball Z Movie 3, Dragon Ball Z Movie 4, and Dragon Ball Z Movie 5, he suddenly disappears from the scene after the fifth film and is never mentioned again.
- Haiya Dragon plays a very significant role in Cooler's Revenge. He helps Gohan bring Senzu from Karin Tower, which Goku needs to survive after being beaten by Cooler and his henchmen.
- Icarus is the name of a boy in a famous story from Greek mythology. Icarus' father, Daedalus, constructed wax wings so that Icarus could fly. One day, Icarus flew too close to the Sun and the wings melted, causing him to fall to his death in the ocean.
