DB Chapter 17

"Carrot Top" (オヤブンの得意技, Oyabun no Tokui Waza; Literally meaning "The Boss's Special Skill") is chapter 017 of the Dragon Ball manga.

Chapter Synopsis

The townspeople continue running away, and Bulma, Goku, and Oolong wonder why. Bulma has a bad feeling about this, and notices the two guys are getting back up, so Bulma asks about this boss of theirs. One of the guys explains that he'll turns them into carrots and eat them. Oolong wants to run away, but Goku says everything is okay.

A funny little rabbit car pulls into town, and the two guys flag it down. A rabbit wearing sunglasses gets out of the car and asks them where the guy who dares defy the Rabbit Gang is. They point to the three at the car, but Bulma and Oolong think the boss doesn't look like much. Yamcha thinks the boss looks familiar. The boss thinks it's shameful they were beaten by these kids and leaps over to ask Bulma to shake hands. Yamcha suddenly recognizes him as the Carrotizor, but it's too late. After they shake hands, Bulma turns into a carrot.

Yamcha says that if he touches you, you'll turn into a carrot. Goku prepares to challenge him, but Carrotizor reminds him that if he touches him, he'll turn into a carrot. Oolong reminds him to use Nyoi-Bō, and so Goku attempts to whack him with it. Carrotizor says he'll eat this carrot if he does that again. Goku tries to think of what to do next, but Oolong has had enough and drives off. Carrotizor laughs about his untrustworthy friend and tells the two guys to attack Goku, and tells Goku not to fight back or he'll eat the carrot.

Yamcha decides they have to help, and tells Pu'er to change into a bird and grab the carrot. As Pu'er flies off with the carrot, Yamcha jumps down off of the roof of the gas station, elbows one of the guys in the back of the neck, and then kicks the other guy in the face. He tells Son he has the carrot, so attack the boss with Nyoi-Bō. Goku asks what he's doing here, and after Yamcha yells at him to forget about it, Goku prepares to attack the boss. But Carrotizor says that if he kills him, the girl stays a carrot. Goku whacks him over the head anyway. Pu'er then gives Goku the carrot, and Goku orders the rabbit to change her back. So Carrotizor claps his hands and Bulma returns to normal.

As he ties up the Rabbit Gang, Goku explains to Bulma that Yamcha and Pu'er helped save her. While Bulma excitedly looks around for Yamcha, Goku thinks he knows what to do with them. He tells Nyoi-Bō to grow and takes the gang up with him. When he gets back, he explains to Bulma that the rabbits are now on the moon, where they're shown pounding mochi.
