Orange Star High School

From Dragon Ball Encyclopedia, the ''Dragon Ball'' wiki

Orange Star High School is a high school in Satan City.

History

Dragon Ball Z

The school was named Orange Star High School because Satan City, in which it was located, was originally named Orange Star City. The city's named was later changed to Satan City as an honor towards Mister Satan, whom the world falsely believed had saved them from Cell. The school retained the former name rather than taking on the new name, possibly to commemorate the former city's name. The school building itself had four stories and a roof access.

Son Gohan attended Orange Star High School when he turned 17 during the Great Saiyaman Saga (He was physically 18 due to training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and although placed with others technically born a year before him, he was their age nevertheless.) when Son Chichi decided that home-schooling was no longer an effective form of education for him. Chichi told Gohan not to show off his super strength and power at school, but he ended up showing some of it in P.E. class by mistake.

After the Buu Saga, Gohan returned to school despite the fact that everyone found out that Gohan had been the Golden Warrior and was the Great Saiyaman.

Trivia

  • The name Orange Star is a reference to the mythical Dragon Balls which are orange and have a certain number of stars on them, hence the name Orange Star.
  • Despite being named Orange Star High School, the star is actually white on the building (but the background is orange).
