Time Tricks and Body Binds

From Dragon Ball Encyclopedia, the ''Dragon Ball'' wiki

"Gohan]] and Krillin begin their assault on Guldo, but his ability to freeze time frustrates their efforts. When the other members of the Ginyu Force threaten to expel him from the force if he doesn't defeat his opponents quickly, Guldo uses his powers to paralyze Gohan and Krillin in midair, and then proceeds to attack them while they're defenseless. Guldo is about to impale Krillin with a pointed plank that he fashioned from a tree, but Vegeta strikes Guldo from behind, sending him to the next dimension and freeing his captives. Recoome steps in to replace Guldo, and Vegeta prepares to engage him in battle. Elsewhere, Bulma contacts Master Roshi to inform him (and complain to him) about current events, and Goku prepares for his landing on Namek. On King Kai's planet, Chiaotzu, Piccolo, Tien and Yamcha continue their training." cannot be used as a page name in this wiki.

Time Tricks and Body Binds is the twenty-fourth episode of the Namek Saga in the original dubbed Dragon Ball Z series.

Summary

The Ginyu Force had reached planet Namek and Captain Ginyu had already taken the Dragon Balls to Frieza. The rest of the members were thinking on what to do with Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan. After a few games it was decided that Guldo will take on the two earthlings and Recoome will take on Vegeta. At first Krillin and Gohan have the upper hand but soon Guldo uses some of his own tricks to immobilize Gohan and Krillin. Now he rips of a tree and throws it towards Gohan but a blow from Vegeta finishes Guldo, and Krillin and Gohan are saved. Now its Recoome's turn. Where is Goku in the time of need?

Major events

  • Vegeta kills Guldo.

Changes

  • In the uncut and remastered version, Jeice says "The crazy bastard actually killed Guldo." In the edited Ocean Group dub the line was changed.
  • When Vegeta decapitates Guldo, the uncut depicts his head rolling off (as opposed to him falling with his head not attached). The head is then destroyed by Vegeta, explaining why a corpse is shown in future episodes. However, as was the case with Piccolo and several Namekians, in this version the blast may have just killed him instead of completely destroying him.
