Kame House

Kame House (カメ ハウス, Kame Hausu; FUNimation "Kame House"; Literally meaning "Turtle House") is a small house on Turtle Island.

Appearance
Kame House is very distinctive. It is painted pink and has a red roof. The words 'KAME HOUSE' are displayed prominently on the front of the second story.
History
Kame House was the home of Turtle Hermit. It also became Kuririn's permanent residence.
Kame House was the primary training site of Son Goku, Kuririn, and later Yamucha during the Tournament Saga and Fortuneteller Baba Saga. In Dragon Ball, it served as the de facto stronghold for the Z Warriors. In Dragon Ball Z, the team used the Heavenly Realm as their base of operations instead. Kame House primarily was used as a hideout. An example is when the Z Warriors took Goku to the island to hide from the Artificial Humans and let him recover from the Heart Virus
During the Majin Boo Saga, Kuririn still lived here along with his [Artificial Human No. 18|wife]] and daughter.
Layout
The interior layout of Kame House had a drastic change between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. In Dragon Ball, the interior layout of the first floor was not consistent with the exterior layout. In the exterior, there were windows that did not exist in the interior. In the interior, there were rooms and stairs in places that did not fit the exterior. In Dragon Ball Z, however, the interior layout was simplified and altered to actually match the exterior layout.
In Dragon Ball, the first floor of Kame House consisted of a main room that doubled as a living room. It had a television, closet, low table, and some cushioned seatings. From the living room, there were doors leading to the kitchen to the back and to the toilet on the right. On the left side, there were stairs leading to the second floor which was made up of a single bedroom.
In Dragon Ball Z, the main room had been modified to fit the actual exterior. The kitchen on the left was gone and that area was now part of the main room. The toilet had been shrunk and consisted of a small room in the left corner of the main room. The placing of the living room furniture and closet was altered too. The stairs were now in the back and winded a little to lead to the upper bedroom. All of the windows in the interior matched the windows seen from the exterior.
Relocations
Kame House appeared to be a prefabricated building, as it could be capsulized and relocated with ease. When Goku and Kuririn began their training under Roshi, he placed Kame House within the House Capsule and moved it to a larger island. Some time after the 21st Tenkaichi Tournament, Kame House was apparently moved back to the island.
During the King Piccolo Saga, Kame House was moved again in order to hide it from Piccolo Daimao's son, Tambourine. Eventually, Tambourine did locate it, although ironically he had stopped to ask directions to the original island. He fought against the injured Yamucha, but was forced to leave before he could kill his target.
In addition, the appearance of the small island on which Kame House was usually situated on changed several times. It can be presumed that Kame House was relocated to different islands for reasons unknown.
Films
It is named Turtle House in Deuraegon Bol. It was a log cabin in the film.
It appeared in Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins where it looked larger, similar to an ancient Chinese house. The outside of the island had a dock and the interior of the house consisted of only one big room that had the bed, bathtub, kitchen, etc. The house was destroyed by Zebrata and Malilia.
Roshi lived in the city rather than on a private island in Dragonball: Evolution.

Kame House appeared in Dragon Ball: Daimaō Fukkatsu, Dragon Ball Z: Kyōshū! Saiya-jin, Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku, Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II, Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury, Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure, and Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans
Kame House could be seen in the background of the Islands stage in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi and is a playable battle stage in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

- A sunken ship can be found some distance away from the island in both the anime and Budokai Tenkaichi 3. It is filled with assorted treasure in the anime.
