Mount Paozu

From Dragon Ball Encyclopedia

Mount Paozu (マウント パオズ, Maunto Paozu; FUNimation "Mt. Paozu") is a mountain on Planet Earth.

History

Son Goku was raised by Grandpa Son Gohan on Mount Paozu. Mount Paozu was mostly known for the various creatures that populated the area such as Dinosaurs.

Dragon Ball

Goku left Mount Paozu after he met Bulma Brief sometime after he had killed Grandpa Son Gohan after he had accidently looked at the Moon and turned into a Great Ape. He briefly returned to Mount Paozu after his first journey collecting the Dragon Balls to pack his things up to move in with Turtle Hermit. When Goku was older, he came back to live there with his wife, Son Chichi, and two sons, Son Gohan and Son Goten. Later, Gohan's family lived there too.

Films

Puck and Son Goku Junior traveled to Mount Paozu to retrieve the Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy. They ended up meeting Mamba, a witch who had disguised herself as a beautiful lady and lured them to her house in order to cook them. Goku Junior and Puck escaped the house, but Puck fell off a bridge and Goku Junior was left by himself on the mountain. On the way back, they were ambushed by Susha and Torga and saw Mamba once more. Goku Junior eventually faced Lord Yomao, the king of Mount Paozu, and defeated him when he unlocked his Super Saiyan abilities. When Goku Junior finally arrived at Son Gohan's House, he found the Dragon Ball and met his great-great-grandfather, Son Goku.
